What Are The Benefits of Quartz Worktops?
Quartz Worktops are man made engineered stone Worktops formed by combining 90% ground quartz (a natural hard mineral) with 8-10% resins, polymers, and pigments. This forms a very hard granite-like surface. The appearance depends on how the quartz is ground: coarsely ground quartz produces a flecked appearance, while finely ground quartz produces a smooth look.
As it is a man made material there is very little variance between one slab and another. It does not produce as high a polish however it is extremely hard and durable, it does produce a glossy finish, just not as much as a natural Granite. Quartz worktops are non-porous and stain-resistant they do not require sealing or resealing unlike other natural surfaces such as granite or wood. There is a huge range of colours making it easy to match your desired colour. Finally it is easy to clean with luke warm soapy water, and a soft cloth.
